Been a few days, sorry daughter. Had a little storm, nothing major. Took Bailey the dog for a nice long walk yesterday. He was pooped. Maybe tomorrow we shall trek even farther. I will say, there's nothing more uplifting than walking "toward" the mountains on a sunny day with the song "Joyful, Joyful" (from Sister Act) playing on your iPod. Puts a spring in your step and makes you happy.
Now to find a job. What should I do? Not many jobs available here. Sending out resumes. Thinking seriously of taking some online courses. Hard to decide since online courses mean tuition when you aren't working and earning money! What's that saying, you have to spend money to earn money?
And what if you still can't find work after 6 months of tuition and online courses.
Maybe a really lucky Mega Million ticket.... someone's got to win, right? Ok, this is how desperate I am, I entered the Publisher's Clearing House. Five mins of saying no thank you to all their attempts at getting you to subscribe to things. But it will be worth it when that big check appears at my door come the end of Aug.. right??!! Trust me, you all (and that's still nobody but my daughter) will be the first to know. THAT should make them want to read this blog!!

So I do this again?
This blogging thing is new to me. My daughter informed me that I should post every day or at least every other day. My life isn't that interesting.. but since I'm writing to myself.. I guess my readers will consider it fascinating.
Went out today for lunch and a little shopping with a new friend. She is so nice and sweet. Did I tell you that everyone I've met here in Montana is nice and friendly.
The weather in Montana is "interesting".. never a dull moment. The old adage, just wait a minute and the weather will change .. is perfect for here.
Today was cool = low 70's. Yesterday was beautiful and 80's. Right now the clouds are looking nasty and the wind has really picked up.
Did I tell you my husband was playing golf this spring (he was here several months before I arrived).. and in ONE round of golf experienced sunshine, rain, sleet and snow! That's spring in MT... a little bit of everything.
Now I understand why everyone is so "into" the outdoors. The minute the snow melts, they hit the ground running. Golf, hiking, biking.. even if it's only high 60's... if you can see the ground.. you better be doing something outside.
Well the lights are flickering.. so I think I better post before we lose electricity.
Wild times people.

Here I am
Whitefish, Montana. This is my latest home.
I'm 51 and have had the pleasure of living in many different areas. Nothing super exotic. It's not like I'm a world traveler. In fact I just made my first trek out of the USA. Went right across the northern border to the great country of Canada. But that's another part of my blog.
Nope, after growing up and living all my formative years in Ohio, my adult years have been spent moving from Ohio to Indiana to Indiana to South Dakota to Georgia and now to Montana.
Who'd have thunk it? I like moving. I like going somewhere and knowing not a single person in town KNOWS me. I'm a blank page again. I can be the person I've always wanted to be, the vivacious confident woman who's not afraid of anything. .......................... well that's the idea. Doesn't always work like that.
I think you should have a reset button on fears and phobias that have become entwined in who you are. Move somewhere new, hit that reset and you start fresh.
Well, this is my new adventure. And thanks to my daughter, who convinced me to try blogging, I'm going to share this new phase of my life with you all. Of course you all is actually no one right now, but maybe someone that's not a relative will join me.
Until next time
